Microsoft Evaluation Center Website
Microsoft is a large organization with many products built by many different business groups. From a customer experience perspective, finding, downloading, and experimenting with Microsoft products can be a confusing process, with each business group using their own process and terminology for the trial experience.
Microsoft wanted a single, central location where customers could learn about and try the full range of Microsoft products in a consistent way.
Resources Online designed and built a new website listing all Microsoft products, along with information on how to install, configure, and manage those products. Over 50 products are listed, along with more than 100 resources for each product. The site is localized into 14 languages. The site is fully integrated into the Marketo CRM platform to support the trial nurturing experience.
The site exceeded Microsoft’s expectations for engagement and conversion, and is now in its fourth year of operation.
Umbraco was selected as the content management system because of its .NET platform, scalability, and easy integration with existing Microsoft.net based services.
