Microsoft Government and Education websites
The Microsoft U.S. Public Sector team wanted to increase the ranking of key pages on its government, education, and health websites in Google and Bing searches. In this search engine optimization (SEO) project, the group’s goals were to achieve top-10 ranking in search results and to reach key public sector audiences.
Resources Online conducted a keyword analysis for the top 40 critical pages on the government site and the top 20 on the education and health sites, then optimized the content on those pages to improve search ranking. We reported on and analyzed effectiveness of the content and keywords on a regular basis. By adding strategic anchor text, optimizing the content, working in backlinks, and appropriately applying standards for URLs and alt text, Resources Online successfully increased the credibility and authority of many of these key pages as they moved up in the top 10 search spots.
