Business challenge:
The Microsoft Dynamics Online Marketing group planned a major redesign of their product website. The group worked with a creative agency for the new design, but they wanted a seasoned vendor—one familiar with the Microsoft.com Content Services Platform (CSP)—to develop, produce, and publish the site.
The Microsoft Dynamics team had to launch their new site on a tight schedule, and they needed a partner to help them write and edit product content for the site within that schedule. They also wanted comprehensive documentation to support subsidiaries localizing the site.
Challenge met.
Microsoft engaged Resources Online, and we provided a spectrum of skills for the successful Microsoft Dynamics website redesign:
- Marketing writers created new and revised existing content.
- Developers built enhanced versions of CSP components and custom templates for navigation and functionality.
In addition, Resources Online developers:
- Built the home page Silverlight applications.
- Built the down-level experiences.
- Enabled or built numerous interactive features, including demonstrations, videos, Bing search components, rotating ads, a live chat component, and Webtrends custom reports.
The Microsoft Dynamics team tapped into its skilled production personnel to produce the content and to test and publish the more-than-300-page site. To support the ongoing maintenance and global rollout of the site, Resources Online created extensive documentation to localize and modify it. The Microsoft Dynamics online marketing team continues to rely on Resources Online as the team adds new features and functionality to its sites.
