At Resources Online we develop, produce, and edit websites and content, and project managers are critical to our success. Our PMs are experts at planning and managing both projects and the teams working on them. Managing multiple, concurrent projects is common.
Our work is expanding, so we are currently seeking to fill a full-time position at Resources Online as a Project Manager. This job offers a full range of benefits, including the opportunity to telecommute part-time.
Many of the projects we work on are for Microsoft, so we are most interested in candidates with substantive recent experience (two years or more in a related role) at Microsoft as a vendor, temp, or FTE who has familiarity with relevant tools, platforms, and processes.
Requirements
- Project management experience, including hands-on experience in website and/or web content projects. Site management is also applicable.
- Demonstrated expertise with project management tools, including Project and Excel.
- You must be organized, detail-oriented, take initiative, and able to work well with a virtual team.
- Experience in gathering requirements, strategizing with the client, and creating a project scope and plan.
- Experience in managing a project within a set budget and timeline.
- Strong client interaction skills. Ability to form positive relationships with the client and respond quickly to their needs.
- Basic understanding of websites.
- Experience working with multidicplinary teams including developers, producers, designers, editors, and writers.
- Excellent communication and client relations skills are a must.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with Product Studio or Team Foundation Server.
- Familiarity with Photoshop, Visio, and SharePoint.
Highly desired
- A rich background that includes other related disciplines besides project management, such as content writing, marketing, or production.
- Experience working on web-based projects that include a localization component.
- PMI, PMP, or other related certification.
- Experience working at Microsoft.
