Resources Online has been creating and delivering content for our clients via the Web, CD/DVD, traditional electronic media, and print since 1989 (including a predecessor company). Located in Seattle, we provide services to companies, organizations, and governments worldwide.
We also provide a patient-centered health assessment and counseling technology platform, currently implemented in HIV/STD prevention, HIV+ risk reduction, and farm worker pesticide exposure assessment products.
Resources Online has always focused on content: creating it, managing it, and producing it. Print, online, and media.
This focus benefits our clients because we deliver content services in an integrated way, whether we're delivering end-to-end services, complementing internal client capabilities, or working alongside other vendors.
End-to-end services: Many of our engagements are end-to-end, in which we plan and create (or assist in creating) the content; build out the delivery system; and do production to deliver content into the system.
Or... Integrate with your team: We also supplement internal capabilities or work alongside other vendors. For some projects, we provide only creative services. For others, we build out and maintain sites for which content is provided to us. But our deep end-to-end knowledge means that we know how to integrate successfully with all the elements in a project team.
Through the years, we've done literally thousands of projects. Most of our work comes to us by referral, which we believe testifies to the quality of our work, the value we deliver to our clients, and the great working relationships that we establish and maintain.
With its steady growth and consistent delivery of integrated content services, the primary focus at Resources Online will always be on delivering business value to our customers. As we deliver on this promise, we will continue to prosper, as a business must.
We also believe in delivering value to our community. We seek to do this in several ways:
Our founder, Jim Larkin, has been deeply involved with content production for over 20 years, starting with social interaction research on an early (pre-Web) hypermedia system, called Intermedia, in the mid-1980's. While at Brown University's Institute for Information in Scholarship, he conducted and participated in other likewise groundbreaking research on technology and education.
In the early 1990's Larkin created content for the company that more or less invented desktop publishing, Aldus (now part of Adobe), while starting a predecessor company.
Since 1995, Resources Online has been an occupation, avocation, creative outlet, and overall force for good. The management team is made up of seasoned professionals across disciplines.
